Join Adelin Properties as our Financial Controller, a key member of our management team reporting directly to the CEO. This in-person role is an opportunity to lead financial operations, optimize processes, and shape our company’s future.
🔹 About the Role - as our Financial Controller, you will:
- Financial Strategy & Oversight: Oversee bookkeeping and accounting activities, manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment strategies.
- Cash Flow: Oversee cashflow activities, develop and execute strategies to maintain a healthy financial position.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they are in line with the corporate strategy, including reporting to the shareholders.
- Process & System Improvements: Identify efficiencies, automation opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Tax Planning and payroll management: Oversee corporate tax planning for the multiple entities of the group, manage payroll, and all Revenue Canada remittances and filings.
- Leadership & Team Development: Supervise and mentor the accounting team to foster financial expertise.
🔹 What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA designation is highly desirable).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or financial management, ideally within an SME or entrepreneurial environment.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication skills to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software, with a preference for Sage Intacct.
- Languages: Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
- Mindset: Proactive, strategic thinker with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
