Position description
The Department of Economics at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time nine-month sessional position in Economics with a specialization in Microeconomics. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor. Applicants should hold, or be nearing completion of, a PhD in Economics and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The teaching load is five courses over the academic year, primarily in Microeconomics. The successful candidate may also be expected to teach in a related area, such as International Trade, Industrial Organization, or Health Economics.
The appointment will begin on August 1, 2025, subject to budgetary approval. Applicants should submit a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, and a teaching dossier, which should include a brief statement of teaching philosophy and a summary of teaching experience. Short-listed candidates will be contacted at a later stage to provide three letters of reference and a writing sample.
