Position description
The Department of Geography and Environment at Mount Allison University invites applications for a stipendiary (part-time) teaching position (per-student payment model) to teach “Natural Resources Management” (GENS/GENV 2101), a 2nd year undergraduate course. This course serves as an introduction to and review of natural resources management in Canada, with an emphasis on renewable resources including forests, fisheries, wildlife and protected areas. The course is cross listed in Environmental Science (BSc) and Environmental Studies (BA) and so addresses both the ecological and human dimensions of natural resources management and conservation. This course is to be taught using a scheduled, online format. Classes are scheduled for the Spring Term (May 5 – June 20).
The successful applicant will have a PhD (or ABD) and expertise relating to themes common to the interdisciplinary study of natural resources management.
