Accountability and Objective:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the General Attendant is responsible for all general duties requiring completion within the building in an efficient and cooperative manner with due consideration for the residents.
Is responsible for supporting residents in maintaining independence while also delivering quality service as needed.
Background/ Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be well groomed and have the physical capabilities to complete tasks including stooping, bending, walking and standing for long periods.
Possesses a pleasant, outgoing personality. Must be able to perform solve and work both independently as well as part of a team.
Demonstrates ability to maintain patience, care and understanding dealing with geriatric residents.
Recognizes the need for the elderly to maintain as much independence as possible to preserve self worth and dignity, promoting this concept to all other staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Completes resident services listed on GA Timeline such as stand by shower assist, medication reminders, dressing and undressing, tray services, escorts and documents competed services accurately.
Responds to emergency pendants.
Perform Housekeeping duties as requested
Covers Reception desk when needed.
Maintains an exemplary attendance record
Handles all matters in a confidential manner.
