We are seeking an accomplished leader in mining technical services with a passion for optimizing base metals operations and driving success in open-pit mining. A leading mining company is seeking a Senior Director, Technical Services to help shape the technical strategy and support sustainable, efficient operations across its portfolio.
In this critical leadership role, you will:
Oversee mine planning, geotechnical engineering, and resource modeling for multijurisdictional open-pit operations.
Provide strategic guidance for feasibility studies, mine optimization, and life-of-mine planning.
Collaborate with site and corporate teams to ensure operational goals align with long-term strategy.
Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.
Your Expertise:
Demonstrated leadership experience in mining technical services, with a focus on base metals and open-pit operations.
Proficiency in mine planning software and geotechnical tools.
Strong background in long-term strategic planning and feasibility studies.
Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field (P.Eng or P.Geo preferred).
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
