Our client is seeking an experienced ABAP Programmer with expertise in SAP data archiving to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP ABAP programming and hands-on experience with SAP Data Archiving, ensuring optimal system performance, compliance with data retention policies, and efficient data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, focusing on optimizing data processing.
- Implement and manage SAP data archiving processes, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal data retention policies.
- Work closely with functional and technical teams to gather requirements and develop efficient ABAP solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ABAP programming and data archiving processes.
- Perform system performance optimization, identifying opportunities to improve data storage efficiency.
- Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementation projects, contributing to data archiving strategy development and execution.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and best practices for data archiving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2 years focused on data archiving.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Data Archiving processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in ABAP development tools (e.g., SAP NetWeaver, ABAP Workbench).
- Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and analyzing large data sets.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA, Fiori, or S/4HANA environments is a plus.
