At CadMakers, we're looking for a
Junior IT Systems Admin to support our team's daily tech needs. You will play a key role,
overseeing all day-to-day IT operations, working closely and directly under our Security officer. Your primary focus and responsibility is to assist and provide seamless technical support to our internal customers!

A customer-centric mindset, excellent troubleshooting and sharp problem-solving skills, along with hands-on experience with various RMM tools. You'll be the go-to person to keep our software, hardware, and networks running smoothly—and with a proactive approach, you'll make sure the team is at optimal performance and always has what they need to succeed.

About The Role
- Onboarding & Offboarding 🛠️: Ensure all new hires are equipped with their necessary hardware, software, and accounts, and assist with offboarding by properly returning and wiping equipment.
- Ticketing Management 🎫: Oversee the internal ticketing process, prioritize, triage, and escalate issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution to keep things hammering along.
- Workstation & Software Troubleshooting 🖥️: Provide user support and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Technical Documentation: Create/update technical documents, manage system audits and generate reports.
- Microsoft 365 Environment 🛡️: Manage Microsoft Defender, Entra, and Intune.
- Security Patch Management 🔒: Assist the IT team in monitoring, testing, and deploying critical security patches across the network.
- Non-Core Hours Support 🕙: Occasionally provide support outside of regular office hours (evenings or weekends), when necessary, to ensure smooth operations.
- Audio/Visual & On-Site Support 🔊: Set up and support audio/visual systems, wireless setups, copiers, and other office equipment to ensure everything is running on all cylinders.
- Technology Adoption & Training 💻: Collaborate with end-users to encourage the adoption of new technologies, provide training, and troubleshoot issues to ensure everything clicks for the team.
- System & Network Monitoring 🛠️📊: Assist with the regular monitoring of internal systems and networks, ensuring performance and reliability are solid as a rock.
- Ad-Hoc Technical Duties 🔧: Take on various technical tasks as needed, supporting company-wide initiatives or addressing unexpected challenges to keep the foundation strong.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 1-3 years of Experience preferred but if you are If you're a sharp, quick-learning, curious go-getter who takes initiative, we'd love to see your application! 🚀
- Proficiency in Bash/PowerShell Scripting is a MUST.
- Solid experience with Python to tackle various technical challenges.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender or other equivalent security tools to protect and secure end-user devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: You know how to clearly communicate, listen actively, and build strong relationships to effectively collaborate across teams:
- 🗣️Ability to clearly communicate unusual or complex user requests to the manager.
- 💡Skilled at simplifying technical concepts and explaining the Do's and Don'ts of back-end processes to end-users.
- Customer-first mentality: You approach every task with a can-do attitude, making sure internal users feel supported and heard.
- Self-motivated: You take initiative, being dedicated and proactive. 🚀
- Organized and efficient: You manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, even when under pressure.
- Able to handle physical tasks: Comfortable with lifting, moving, pushing, and carrying up to 50 lbs when required.
- Tech-savvy: You have a strong interest in computer hardware and systems technology, and you're committed to expanding your skills and knowledge base. 💻

Benefits
Salary, Term & Working Location
- $50,000 - $70,000 CAD yearly salary
- Contract Term: Fulltime
- Workplace: Onsite in-office located in Burnaby, with hybrid flex options available.
