Position Summary
The Test/Exam Invigilator is responsible for supervising tests and exams written in the Meighen Centre by registered Meighen Centre students.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that student attendance for tests is recorded, and photo IDs are checked.
- Ensuring that students put away any class material and electronic devices prior to entering the testing rooms.
- Monitor cameras during tests/exams to ensure academic integrity and report any concerns of academic dishonesty to the Student Support Coordinator.
- Monitor student use of washroom breaks - sign in/sign out times
- Reach out to professors if students have any questions during a test/exam.
- Provide 15 minutes notice to students of the end time of a test/exam and ensure that the test/exam is handed in at the predetermined stop time.
- Responsible for recording each student’s stop time for a test/exam.
- Properly organizing and safely storing completed tests/exams.
Training
Invigilators will receive training in assistive technology, such as text-to-speak and speech to text software. Training will also be provided in the use of Excel software. Likewise, invigilators will be educated on emergency protocols and procedures for the Meighen Centre.
