The position of Network Project Coordinator for Atlantic First Nation Tech Services (AFNTS) and Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey will be part of the AFNTS Network Team. They are primarily responsible for coordinating the expansion and supporting the ongoing operation of the Atlantic First Nation Fibre Network. This new network expansion project will result in 30-35 band operated buildings added annually over the duration of the project.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of outside plant fibre infrastructure and common enterprise networking hardware. Travel to communities across Atlantic Canada (at times weekly) is also a requirement. Project management experience as well as experience working with Indigenous communities and/or organizations are considered an asset.
