Centrix Control Solutions has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to join our front-office staff! Based in our Port Coquitlam office, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions.
- Receiving and reviewing invoices
- Verifying that goods/services were received as per an order
- Managing payment schedules according to payment terms
- Ensuring timely payments to maintain vendor and customer relationships
- Issuing and receiving of credits
- Tracking outstanding payments
- Following up on overdue payments
- Maintaining accurate records of receivables
- Recording incoming payments from customers
- Ensuring proper documentation and classification of cash receipts
- Applying received payments to outstanding invoices on customer accounts
- Managing collections (ie. contacting customers, negotiating payments with manager involvement, maintaining records, monitoring accounts, reporting back to management on outstanding collections)
- Performing reception duties (ie. answering and routing incoming calls, taking messages, and providing basic information)
- Providing a daily updated Bank Requisition to management
- Self-motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work with difficult customers and vendors and resolve problems and issues.
- Ability to communicate and interact with customers and vendors in a professional manner.
- Ability to travel frequently out of town and overnight.
- Minimum two years of office administration experience.
- A diploma or degree in business administration, management, or related fields is an asset.
