Physiotherapist β Contract Position
Our team is seeking a regulated professional physiotherapist to provide essential and specialized care to inmates at Dorchester Correctional Facility. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of a population with specific needs in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work one day per week for an 8-hour clinic, excluding statutory holidays.
- Collaborate with the Head of Health Services or their delegate to prioritize consultations according to established clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with the National Essential Services Framework.
- Provide all necessary equipment for interventions, ensuring compliance with provincial laws and institutional policies.
Work Schedule:
- Fixed schedule of one 8-hour clinic per week (day to be coordinated with the institution).
Requirements:
License:
- Provide proof of a valid license from the College of Physiotherapists of New Brunswick.
- Submit a Certificate of Good Standing from the College of Physiotherapists of New Brunswick confirming:
- The physiotherapist is a member in good standing.
- No investigations or disciplinary judgments related to professional conduct are currently in place.
- The physiotherapist's license to practice physiotherapy has no restrictions.
- If there are any investigations, judgments, or restrictions, they must be disclosed in detail, as indicated in the form.
Education:
- Provide proof of a recognized physiotherapy diploma in Canada.
Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years of physiotherapy experience in delivering physiotherapy services.
- A detailed CV demonstrating relevant experience must be included.
Bilingual Requirement:
- The applicant must be bilingual in French and English.
Clearance:
- A security clearance will be required upon hiring.
Conditions:
- Contract period: From April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with a possibility of renewal.
- Salary: Up to $200/hour.
- Maximum workload: 8 hours per week (one clinic per week at the Dorchester Correctional Facility).
- The provider must supply all necessary equipment and ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
