We are looking to hire
Labourers for an exciting project based in
Halifax, Nova Scotia. Labourer will assist with ongoing maintenance, installations, repairs, and general labour duties as required. Other duties to be performed will include but may not be limited to, assisting with other technicians on-site with tubing installation, calibrations, and paperwork. Equipment to be used includes only the basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, channel locks, wrenches, allen-keys, tape measures, tubing benders & tube cutters, crescent wrenches, & pipe wrenches.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhering to all company Heath, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures set out by the HSE department.
- Working on a variety of maintenance and construction projects in the oil and gas industry.
- Taking instruction on the worksite and following through in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assisting Journeyman and other apprentices with the maintenance, replacement, and installation of equipment.
- Assisting with installations requiring instrumentation tubing and calibrations if needed.
- Assisting with collecting information for QAQC documents for the Project Managers.
- Using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment and specialty tools, such as tubing benders.
- Working in various physically demanding conditions that can vary from outdoors to indoors in hot and cold weather conditions.
- Working from heights may be required. All applicable safety measures and training will be provided to the labourer.
- All other duties as assigned.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma.
- Previous experience in the trade industry is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 License with a clean Drivers Abstract.
- H2S, First Aid Level C CPR & AED, CSTS, TDG & WHMIS, Client Specific Orientations.
- Ability to lift up to 50lb.
