(Project InHouse), an exciting new title from the stable of industry leading titles such as PRWeek and Campaign, is searching for a dynamic and driven Editor to lead the charge at this new launch, aimed at Inhouse Corporate Communicators and Internal Comms professionals.
Reporting to the group’s Editor in Chief, This is an exciting opportunity to become the brand’s editorial leader, crafting compelling content and setting the tone for this landmark title in an influential and burgeoning sector..
You’ll spearhead the editorial direction of Project InHouse ensuring its content is cutting-edge, insightful, and resonates with industry leaders, while building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the comms and HR sectors, uncovering the stories, interviews and opinions that matter. You’ll embrace a multi-channel approach, extending your influence across podcasts, videos and webinars in order to maximise reach and profitable engagement.
- Define and maintain the editorial vision for Project InHouse, ensuring content resonates with readers and stakeholders.
- Monitor and refine the content strategy, using analytics to optimise editorial themes, formats, and track engagement.
- Manage a senior reporter/writer (at first, and eventually growing a bigger team) ensuring that the title delivers impactful content.
- Collaborate with subscription and marketing teams to grow readership and identify initiatives to maintain and grow subscriber numbers
- Build industry connections, attend events and engage with experts to provide valuable insights, awareness of trends, and identify new opportunities for the brand.
- Develop innovative story ideas for a variety of media platforms that help extend the brand’s reach and engagement
- Host a regular podcast, including arranging guest speakers.
- Manage the editorial freelance budget and optimise spend to align with content strategy.
- Maintain style and editorial guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, as well as having regard for tone, style and legality of all copy.
- Solid experience as a News Editor, Deputy Editor or Editor.
- The ability to write, edit, sub-edit and proofread to a very high standard and working to tight daily deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of media law, editorial processes and best practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to conduct high profile interviews and deal with senior stakeholders and industry contacts.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage new projects alongside routine editorial activities.
- Good commercial awareness and experience working with commercial teams.
- While the role requires a team player attitude, the ability to work under your own initiative is essential.
