DUTIES
RRC Polytech is committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in everything we do. In support of this commitment, we are seeking a dedicated and strategic Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDIA) Program Consultant to lead the development and implementation of RRC Polytech’s workplace EDIA Program.
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources Programs and Policies, the EDIA Program Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing EDIA programs, initiatives, and policies that align with RRC Polytech’s strategic commitments, priorities and goals. The EDIA Program Consultant will partner with leaders and engage employees to develop EDIA strategies and action plans that integrate EDIA into program and service delivery, system design, and decision-making. The EDIA Program Consultant will conduct research, monitor trends, and analyze EDIA practices and legislation to inform proactive recommendations that respond to emerging needs and opportunities. The EDIA Program Consultant will lead and support EDIA-related training, workshops and events to raise awareness and build capacity. The EDIA Program Consultant will develop metrics and reporting tools to monitor and evaluate the impact of the EDIA program and its initiatives. The EDIA Program Consultant will develop tools and resources to support leaders and employees in advancing EDIA within their respective work areas; and collaborate with employee networks, working groups, and committees to advance RRC Polytech’s EDIA goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in human resources; equity, diversity, and inclusion studies; disability studies; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience
- Experience leading the development, implementation and evaluation of EDIA programs and initiatives
- Strong knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility barriers, leading practices, policies, frameworks and related legislation
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders, employees, and external partners
- Experience with event planning and coordination
- Experience with project management and change management
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and accountability for achieving results
- Effective verbal communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Effective written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Experience completing EDIA assessments, gathering EDIA data, conducting research, identifying and analyzing trends
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification or training in EDIA, anti-racism, accessibility, or inclusive leadership
- Knowledge of accommodation and accessible design practices
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- This position may be required to work overtime
