Position Overview
As an
Intermediate Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping client success by analyzing business needs, designing data and technology solutions, and supporting the delivery of impactful projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will bridge the gap between business challenges and technical solutions, helping organizations optimize operations and achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Process Analysis
- Conduct in-depth reviews of complex business processes to identify inefficiencies.
- Design actionable solutions to improve performance and map processes using tools like BPMN or flow diagrams.
- Requirements Gathering
- Lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.
- Ensure alignment between requirements and organizational goals, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Solution Design Support
- Collaborate with IT and multidisciplinary teams to co-create practical, scalable solutions.
- Prepare detailed documentation, such as workflows, specifications, and wireframes, to guide implementation.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and clear communication.
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Data Analysis and Insights
- Analyze data using tools like Excel, Power BI, and SQL to uncover actionable insights.
- Present findings through professional reports and presentations with clear recommendations.
- Project Participation
- Support multiple projects simultaneously, managing deliverables and tracking progress.
- Lead risk assessments, mitigation planning, and provide updates to ensure project success.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and sharing best practices.
- Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Technology Integration
- Recommend and support the integration of technologies that align with client and organizational needs.
- Client Engagement
- Partner directly with clients to understand goals, challenges, and requirements, tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in business analysis with a proven track record of delivering impactful business solutions.
- Eligible for Secret Level Security Clearance.
Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in business process modeling (e.g., BPMN) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau).
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Knowledge of data governance and strategy principles (preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise systems, or workforce planning tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is an asset.
Certifications (Nice-to-Have)
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional).
- Agile, Scrum, or Six Sigma certifications.
