As an Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in managing day-to-day operations on multi-family construction projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards by coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and maintaining compliance with plans and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and scheduling daily site activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct site inspections.
- Monitor quality control and resolve on-site issues.
- Maintain accurate daily reports and communicate progress to the Superintendent.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Support project close-out and punch list completion.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in multi-family or commercial construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- OSHA certification preferred.
