Our client, a mid-size architecture firm with over 40 years of experience in Edmonton, known for its diverse project experience, as seeking an Architectural Technologist . They have worked on multi-million dollar projects; Mixed-Use, Commercial Retail, Interiors, Corporate, Industrial, Seniors Housing, Government, Institutional, and Religious projects. With a fresh new perspective on architecture and a recent rebranding, the firm is passionate about taking bold moves with its design.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed working drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit.
- Assist in the development of design concepts and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Review shop drawings and assist with contract administration during construction phases.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in an architectural or design firm.
- Proficiency in Revit (mandatory); AutoCAD experience is an asset.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and detailing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $60K- $75K (dependent on experience) + bonus (not guaranteed) extended benefits & free street parking.
