Your new role
We are seeking a skilled High Voltage & Electrical Testing Technician to join the team. This role involves working alongside experienced professionals on high-voltage (HV) and substation projects, performing electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of critical power systems.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing electrical testing and commissioning of HV equipment, including:
- Circuit breakers (HV and 600V)
- Transformers
- Substation components
- Power cables
- Conduct protection and control system testing, including:
- Relay programming and troubleshooting
- Integration of control systems within switchgear
- Support start-up and troubleshooting of electrical systems during commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and security clearance requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality results.
Occasional travel within Ontario and Quebec may be required.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with circuit breakers, transformers, substations, cables, and advanced protection and control systems:
Mandatory:
- Red Seal 309A Electrician designation (transferable across IBEW locals)
- Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance (minimum Reliability)
Ideally, your skills will include
- Electrical testing experience (NETA certification is an asset)
- CET designation in electrical/electronics
- Familiarity with protection and control systems, relay programming, and HV troubleshooting
