About the Role
Maple Mutual is looking for an Insurance Sales Agent to join our growing team! As an Insurance Agent, you will be the face of Maple Mutual, helping individuals, families, and businesses find insurance solutions that fit their evolving needs. Using your strong knowledge of insurance products, wordings, and contract law, you will act as a trusted insurance advisor to new and existing policy holders for farm, commercial, auto, and property products. You’ll build relationships, generate new business, and provide knowledgeable guidance to ensure policy holders are properly insured, based on their personal needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
- Assess policy holder needs and recommend appropriate P&C insurance products.
- Prepare quotes, present coverage options, and close sales with professionalism and care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing policyholders.
- Collaborate with underwriting and service teams to ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay current on insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements through ongoing learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of P&C insurance experience, farm and commercial lines preferred
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, or working towards
- Experience in insurance sales or customer-facing roles
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet sales targets, and manage your own pipeline.
- A proactive, community-minded approach to business development.
- RIBO/OTL license (or willingness and ability to obtain)
