Accounting Manager ( On- Site ) - Full time

5+ Years of Experience minimum
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations. / Experience with tax compliance and corporate governance.
Proficient in accounting software (financial interfaces with Oracle / SAP or similar (asset) and strong user of Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly and concisely and being detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
Understand intercompany reconciliation & multi branch accounting & in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
Exposure with Hedge Accounting and Foreign exchange transactions.
Key Responsibilites:
Month-End & Year-End Close:
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
Review the monthly GST/HST/PST/QST Tax filings / Assist with CRA audits
Coordinate the preparation of tax filing packages and support the annual & quarterly audit process
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS .
Oversee the preparation and submission of various financial reporting requirements for management & internal stakeholders.
Produce financial analysis to identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
Recommend process improvements and controls as needed.
Maintaining strong system of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting & protect company assets .
Stay on top of compliance with accounting regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
Leadership & Supervvisory Skills:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.
Give guidance on accounting issues while ensuring your team adheres to internal policies and accounting principles.
