Canada Fastening Corporation is a leading import distributor of collated and bulk fasteners, serving building supply retailers and industrial accounts nationwide. With a reputation for reliability, product excellence, and ranked as one of Canada's Top Growing companies by the Globe and Mail, we are expanding our team to include a dynamic Inside Sales Coordinator / Customer Service Representative.
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for combining customer service excellence with inside sales support to ensure efficient order execution, strong sales enablement, and a scalable customer experience.
Key Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Enter and process sales orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage order changes, backorders, substitutions, and ETAs
- Communicate proactively with customers on delays or shortages
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics on shipments
- Handle invoicing questions, short-ships, and basic credit issues
- Maintain customer records and notes in ERP/CRM
- Prepare quotes based on pricing matrices and promotions
- Follow up on open quotes within defined timelines
- Support field sales reps with pricing, availability, and samples
- Assist with program rollouts, promos, and dealer communications
- Identify upsell / cross-sell opportunities on inbound orders
- Maintain quote pipeline and follow-up discipline
- Ensure pricing accuracy and compliance
- Follow SOPs for order entry, credits, and exceptions
- Flag recurring issues (inventory, pricing, service gaps)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in inside sales and/or customer service (preferably in building supply sectors).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to quickly adapt and learn in any environment and market conditions
- Extreme detail oriented and accuracy driven
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- A team player who's not afraid to go the extra mile
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
