ROLE OVERVIEW
The Community and Communications Manager will be responsible for growing Kids
Empire’s visibility and engagement across key channels (social media, influencers, PR),
building an active community of families who love our parks, and supporting the
performance of our locations nationwide.
You will have significant room to propose and test ideas while working within clear
brand guidelines and alongside experienced partners and agencies.
What You’ll Do
- Communications Strategy
- In partnership with the VP of Marketing and Marketing team, contribute to
the yearly marketing and communications plan, identifying key moments,
angles, and campaigns that support brand and park performance goals.
- Translate high-level marketing priorities into channel-specific plans for
social, influencers, and PR.
- Lead the rollout of campaign initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and
a cohesive brand voice across all touchpoints.
- Social Media
- Own the content calendar for Kids Empire social channels (currently
Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok), aligning organic content and campaigns
with key business moments (openings, events, promotions, holidays).
- Create and/or brief high-quality, on-brand content, working closely with
internal teams, content creators, and creative agencies.
- Grow our following and engagement by testing content formats, storytelling
approaches, and community-building tactics.
- Oversee community management and moderation, ensuring timely and
family-friendly responses to comments, messages, and reviews.
- Influencer Marketing
- Develop influencer strategies tailored to Kids Empire’s goals and campaign
calendar (e.g., new park openings, events, traffic-driving promotions,
seasonal activations).
- Manage our ongoing influencer program, including identifying and vetting
creators, outreach, negotiating collaboration terms, and coordinating
deliverables.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for our performance marketing
agency on influencer campaigns, ensuring alignment with organic
campaigns and the brand.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with creators who authentically
connect with our brand and audience.
- Public Relations & Partnerships
- Help define and implement Kids Empire’s PR approach, with an initial focus
on local media relationships around park openings and events.
- Develop press materials and media kits for key campaigns and milestones.
- Partner with our Field Marketing Manager to identify local storytelling
opportunities and handle media outreach.
- Participate in the selection, onboarding, and management of a PR agency,
acting as Kids Empire’s day-to-day contact for press outreach and
activations.
- Contribute to the development of brand partnership opportunities,
collaborating with complementary family and lifestyle brands when relevant.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on key performance metrics across social media, influencer
collaborations, and PR (e.g., reach, engagement, traffic, sentiment,
coverage).
- Use data and social listening to optimize strategies and content, informing
future campaigns and testing new ideas.
- Share regular insights and recommendations with the VP of Marketing and
broader team.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in social media and/or community management,
ideally for consumer-facing brands (family entertainment, retail, hospitality, or
similar is a plus).
- Proven experience creating or leading engaging content for social platforms,
with a strong sense of what resonates with families and kids.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret social and campaign metrics, turn insights
into actions, and communicate performance clearly.
- Hands-on experience working with or managing influencer collaborations.
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta
Business Suite, native TikTok/Instagram tools, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to adapt
tone and messaging to different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working cross-functionally and with
external partners/agencies.
- Experience with PR or media relations, especially at the local or regional level
appreciated.
Additional Requirements
- Location: Hybrid or remote. Open to in-office work with our VP of Marketing in
New York, or remote work within the U.S.
- Park Access: Candidates should be located within a reasonable distance to one
or more Kids Empire parks to support on-site content creation and occasional
events.
