Our client is looking for a an A&D Specifications Rep to join their team, you will be responsible for driving demand and preference for the company's products by developing and nurturing relationships with architects, interior designers, dealers, contractors, and fabricators specializing in Industrial, Kitchen and Bath Surfaces.
Your role involves managing large commercial project opportunities from the initial planning stages through to completion, ensuring that the company's products are specified and maintained throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will create and maintain a regional blueprint that prioritizes key accounts, architectural firms, and project opportunities, allowing you to strategically focus your efforts for maximum market impact.
A significant part of your role will involve tracking and updating project specifications and progress in Salesforce, ensuring that all relevant data is accurate and up-to-date. You will manage a robust project pipeline, working to deliver consistent revenue aligned with the company's business goals. Monitoring specification rates and project wins will be crucial to ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will conduct Continuing Education Unit (CEU) presentations and product demonstrations to educate architects and designers about the company's offerings, thereby enhancing their knowledge and increasing the likelihood of product specification.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of sales experience, with a proven ability to discover, define, and grow market opportunities.
- Active participation in industry events and associations, such as CSC, ARIDO, and IDC, will be essential to expanding the company's network and influence.
- A demonstrated track record in account development, planning, and driving sales growth is essential.
- Required to travel to Edmonton once a quarter.
- You should possess strong relationship-building skills, the ability to identify key decision-makers, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- You must be a team player who can collaborate across functions while also being highly organized and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, are required.
