Position: Senior Project Manager

Salary range: $125,000 -$140,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of utility construction projects or major program scopes. This role operates with significant autonomy across field and office functions, with accountability for safety, cost, schedule, quality, and client relationships.
The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage project financials, and drive execution from planning through close-out. Projects may include distribution rebuilds, substation construction, and transmission work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery (planning to close-out)
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities
- Manage multiple sites/scopes, schedules, and recovery plans
- Oversee project financials (P&L, forecasting, earned value, billing)
- Manage subcontractors and resolve commercial issues
- Lead change management and ensure contract compliance
- Ensure QA/QC execution and regulatory compliance
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Mentor project teams and support leadership development
- Provide regular reporting, updates, and issue resolution
Qualifications
- 8+ years of project management experience in utility, infrastructure, or complex construction (5+ years in leadership)
- Experience in transmission powerline construction
- Strong knowledge of contracts, QA/QC, and construction practices
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, SAP, Procore, or similar tools
- PMP, CET, or related certification preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required
