Job Summary:
Outside Sales position plays a critical role in the support and growth of our Mechanical business. Excellent problem-solving abilities and superior communication skills are key attributes. The successful candidate must exhibit an ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional “customer first” attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present, promote and sell jobs and services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Spec out, estimate and layout new installs and replacements of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical projects. (Must have knowledge in the mechanics of HVAC/Industry)
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
- Understanding profit and loss and the drive to ensure profits are made. The ability to demonstrated value added services to Clients.
- Knowledge of the commercial HVAC/R field
- Ability to scope out, estimate and sell installation and replacement jobs. Qualified candidates must understand all components needed to complete the job from start to finish making the install/replacement profitable.
- Obtaining new customers and preventive maintenance contracts
- Continuation of selling to our existing customers maintaining relationship
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum Sales experience in the HVAC, refrigeration, and or mechanical projects market dealing with commercial property managers, and industrial clients
- Confident, outgoing, ability to cold call on existing and new clients
- Technical understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical projects systems as well as boilers related equipment.
- Self-motivated, ability to work as a Team player
- Organizational skills that include proficient computer skills. Ability to process contract estimates and documents in a timely fashion.

The salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data. The base salary is just one component of GDI Ainsworth’s total compensation package, which also includes additional rewards and benefits such as short-term incentives and health insurance, among others.
