Job Title: CNC Operator 1 / Woodworker
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate CNC machinery and assist with woodworking projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and an eagerness to learn. While experience with CNC machines, woodworking, or CAD software is an asset, we are willing to train the right person. The responsibilities of the candidate may vary depending on existing skills and prior work experience, but may include some of the following:
Responsibilities:
- Efficient operation of CNC wood routers, with adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Carrying out pre and post-processing tasks including using woodshop hand tools, trim routing, edge rounding, glue-ups, sanding, assembling parts, and packaging orders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications.
- Design, programming, and set-up of both production parts and one-off projects.
- Ensure precision and quality control in all projects.
- Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and necessary adjustments on the CNC wood routers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate a forklift.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new tools.
Assets (but not required):
- Experience operating CNC machines.
- Knowledge of CAD/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Vectric Aspire, SketchUp, Rhino).
- Previous experience in woodworking or cabinet making is preferred.
- Understanding of woodworking techniques and tools.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, regular shift is 7:30 AM4:30 PM. Start and end times may vary as needed to support staggered shifts during high-production periods. Starting pay from $22-$26/hr depending on experience.
