About the Opportunity - P&L Leadership & Commercial Governance
- Provide enterprise-level financial leadership across all areas of the business, including Vehicle Operations, After-Sales, Extended Warranty, Captive partner, and corporate functions.
- Demonstrate strong experience managing and consolidating full P&Ls, including G&A oversight and cross-divisional performance integration.
- Guide business decisions through structured financial framing, KPI alignment, and disciplined performance tracking.
- Develop and monitor enterprise KPIs that drive strategic accountability across departments.
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate opportunities, challenge assumptions, and ensure alignment with long-term financial objectives.
- Vehicle Pricing, Incentives & Lifecycle Economics
- Participate in financial governance for vehicle pricing and incentive structures.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in:
- Direct and indirect incentives
- Lease and finance subvention mechanics
- Retail and wholesale economics
- Vehicle residual value strategy and depreciation
- Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program economics
- Comprehensive understanding of full vehicle lifecycle from a financial lens:
- Production planning
- Allocation and wholesale
- Retail sales
- Incentive accrual and redemption
- Remarketing and residual exposure
- Oversee structured ROI analysis across incentive campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Assist with alignment between pricing strategy, brand positioning, and financial performance.
- Extended Warranty & Insurance Product Economics
- Demonstrate proven experience with OEM extended warranty, service contracts, and insurance-type products.
- Oversee financial modeling and governance over:
- Warranty reserve structures
- Ancillary product profitability
- Reinsurance or manufacturer obligor programs (where applicable)
- Partner with After-Sales and program administrators to optimize long-term profitability and risk management.
- Ensure proper accounting, compliance, and performance tracking of protection products.
- Electrification & Regulatory Financial Strategy
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ICE, Hybrid, and Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) portfolio economics.
- Understand GHG regulatory frameworks and their financial implications.
- Provide financial insight into portfolio mix decisions and long-term electrification strategy.
- Evaluate depreciation impacts and Capital Cost Allowance (CCA) considerations tied to evolving vehicle technologies.
- Mid-Term & Long-Term Strategic Planning
- Lead financial modeling and build-out of mid-term and long-term corporate plans.
- Demonstrate experience building comprehensive strategic plans across multiple divisions.
- Provide scenario modeling that integrates product cycles, incentive strategy, regulatory shifts, and capital investments.
- Support global OEM reporting and alignment with long-range objectives.
- Cross-Functional Strategic Partnership
- Act as a senior finance partner to:

- Marketing

- Understand the financial drivers within each functional area and guide decision-making accordingly.

- Global OEM & Executive Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a senior financial liaison with company Corporation (Japan) and other global stakeholders.
- Demonstrate experience operating within a global OEM structure, preferably within a Japanese corporate environment.
- Lead financial discussions and negotiations related to:
- Incentive programs
- Pricing alignment
- Residual value strategies
- Capital allocation initiatives
- Build trusted relationships with global finance counterparts and executive leadership.
- Exercise cultural fluency and disciplined negotiation in a matrixed organization.
- Financial Planning, Reporting & Governance Oversight
- Oversee enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure strong IFRS compliance and audit readiness through leadership of the Controller and reporting team.
- Maintain disciplined oversight of working capital, treasury visibility, and internal controls.
- Drive system and reporting improvements across ERP and enterprise planning platforms.
- Strategic Project Leadership
- Demonstrate experience leading complex strategic initiatives from concept through execution.
- Lead high-impact transformation projects across vehicle programs, business structures, extended warranty programs, and system implementations.
- Ensure initiatives are structured with clear KPIs, measurable ROI, and disciplined follow-through.
About You - CPA designation or MBA
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive automotive industry experience.
- Minimum 5+ years in senior finance leadership roles within:
- Automotive OEM
- Automotive captive finance
- Automotive distribution organization
- Proven experience:
- Managing and consolidating full P&Ls across multiple business units.
- Managing extended warranty and insurance-type OEM programs.
- Governing vehicle pricing and incentive strategies.
- Modeling lease, subvention, and residual value economics.
- Overseeing CPO financial structures.
- Building mid-term and long-term strategic plans.
- Partnering with executive leadership to drive commercial decisions.
- Demonstrated experience working within a global matrix organization.
- Strong familiarity with Japanese OEM structures preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling expertise and proficiency in enterprise planning systems (i.e. OneStream).
- Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.
- Expertise in financial reporting, accounting systems, financial compliance and managing complex capital structures.
- Valid driver's license and passport with no travel restrictions.
Salary Range $160,000 - $180,000 / year
