Carpenter – Full-Time (Residential Construction)
Job Description
Skyview Designs Inc. is a growing residential construction company based in Calgary, specializing in custom builds, renovations, and finish carpentry. We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis.
This position is available due to increased project demand and company growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing, finishing, and general carpentry work
- Install cabinets, trim, doors, and interior finishes
- Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
- At least 1 year of work experience in Canada
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience in residential construction (custom builds and renovations preferred)
- Ability to read drawings and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license
- Own vehicle required
Assets (Preferred Qualifications)
- Alberta carpentry certification or trade ticket (or in progress)
- Additional safety certifications (Fall Protection, WHMIS, etc.)
Job Details
- Position: Full-time, permanent
- Hours: 30–40 hours per week
- Wage: $30–$38 per hour (based on experience)
- Location: Calgary and surrounding areas
