Recreation Services Supervisor - Activity Centres

The Recreation Services Supervisor – Activity Centres is responsible for the implementation and operational oversight of recreation services across multiple community indoor facilities. This role ensures safe, accessible, welcoming, efficient, and customer-focused environments that support community connections, sport & recreation programs, casual use, rentals, and community partnerships.
The position provides leadership across staffing, facility operations, equipment and space utilization, customer service, safety and security, contracts, and interdepartmental coordination. The Supervisor plays a critical role in maximizing facility use, responding to emergent operational issues, and ensuring a consistently positive customer experience for the community.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Recreation Management, or equivalent with at least 5 years of progressive experience in the Recreation industry.
- Key aspects of background to include facility management, system procedures and development, customer service leadership, business assessment, and team supervision.
- Communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Budgeting and an understanding of internal controls
- Local government experience would be an asset
