Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Vice President, HR Business Partnership, you will lead and deliver people strategies aligned with Vancity’s vision and business priorities. Overseeing HR Business Partnership and Talent Acquisition, you will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board to strengthen organizational effectiveness and support employee engagement, development, and performance. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will ensure consistent and effective people practices across the organization.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Chief People Officer. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You’ll Make an Impact in Your Departments:
HR Business Partnership
- Partnering with executive and senior leaders to support the evolution of operating models, organizational structures, and talent strategies
- Providing strategic advice and guidance on a broad range of people matters, including performance management, organizational design, and workforce planning
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Strategy
- Leading the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies that align with Vancity’s business priorities and future workforce needs
- Partnering with leaders to identify talent needs and build pipelines that support succession and long-term capability
Employee & Labour Relations
- Leading and supporting labour relations strategy, including collective bargaining, union engagement, and ongoing relationship management
- Providing oversight and guidance on complex employee relations matters across unionized and non-unionized environments
People Operations & Organizational Effectiveness
- Driving continuous improvement of HR processes, practices, and operating models to support efficiency, consistency, and quality outcomes
- Strengthening how information is managed, accessed, and used to support decision-making across the People & Culture function
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Progressive senior HR leadership experience within a large, complex organization, with expertise across HR Business Partnership, Talent Acquisition, and employee relations
- Strong judgement and the ability to manage complex employee and labour relations matters while supporting business leaders in a fast-paced environment
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including employee integration and organizational alignment
- Experience in financial services, or within a unionized environment

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $204,000 to $240,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of the total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
