Job description
Cora’s Breakfast and Lunch is seeking a Full Time breakfast cook to join our team. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be presentable.
To produce all assigned menu items in an efficient and consistent manner while following the specifications, recipes and techniques of the company.
We open from 6 am- 3 pm daily.
Must be able to work early morning shift (6 am)
Must be able to work ALL WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS
Job Duties:
· Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
· Prepare dishes by following the methods of preparation and observe quality of product by viewing color, taste, texture, portion size and appearance.
· Maintain a clean and safe environment by implementing all sanitation codes and appropriate food handling procedures.
· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
· Clean the kitchen and work area accordingly.
· Train kitchen staff, such as line cook and part-time helpers.
· Adhere to all standards set forth by the management team.
Qualifications:
· Work communication in English is required
· Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
· Culinary degree or certificate is preferred, Pastry Certificate is preferred
· 2 -3 years related work experience as the cook or line cook is required
· Available for early morning shifts, as well as weekend and holiday shifts
· Ability to work without supervision
· Ability to work quickly and execute line orders within allotted timeframe
Position Details:
· Full time, permanent
· 30-40 hours per week
· Hourly wage from $16.50 to $18.00
