ABOUT THE POSITION
Wildhorse Saloon is looking for experienced security to fill out their team on a full-time seasonal contract for the duration of the Calgary Stampede. Reporting to the Head of Security, members of the security team are one of the first points of contact for guests, responsible for making all patrons feel welcome and safe while enjoying their time on the premises.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Greet and assist all patrons, welcoming them to the tent.
- Ensure departing guests are safely leaving the tent and assisting in arranging transportation if necessary.
- Check for proper identification ensuring all patrons are of legal age and uphold the tent’s age restriction policies.
- Respectfully refuse admittance to underage and intoxicated clientele.
- Control line ups and ensure a clear exit for departing guests.
- Complete and maintain proper capacity counts as set forth by the AGLC, Calgary Fire Department, and Calgary City Police, informing management of counts throughout evening.
- Monitor customers to ensure their safety and the safety of the Wildhorse staff and property.
- Maintain entrance cleanliness, ensuring safe accessibility of the venue.
- Ensure your radio is active and an earpiece is worn at all times.
- Assist in closing procedures and informing patrons of last call, ensuring all guests have left the building.
- Ensure that no customer leaves with Concorde property or beverages.
- Execute ad-hoc tasks as required.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- 1+ years previous door/security experience is required.
- A valid Alberta ProTect and ProServe Certification obtained prior to starting.
- Personable and assertive individual interested in gaining further security experience.
- Strong English communication skills and outgoing personality with ability to establish and develop relationships with both guests and team members.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
- Strong team player, punctual for shifts and reliable to execute work as assigned.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Capacity to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Over 18 years of age as late-night availability is a requirement.
