Job Description:
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs in foil fencing for students of all skill levels.
• Conduct individual and group lessons to enhance the fencing skills of students.
• Observe and assess the progress of students and provide feedback and guidance to help them improve their technique.
• Ensure that all equipment used in fencing is safe and properly maintained.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all students during fencing lessons.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, and communicate regularly with head coach, parents, or guardians.
• Encourage and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Assist, participate, and coordinate special events, such as competitions, recreational activities, seminars, camps etc.
• Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest fencing techniques and teaching methods.
Job Requirements:
Completion of secondary school
Completion of a college program in recreation or physical education will be a plus.
Demonstrated ability in teaching epee
Certificate of Recreational Program Instructor or Specialist will be an asset.
1-2 years of experience as a coach or an instructor in Fencing will be an asset.
