POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager, Brand and Product Marketing will support the marketing strategy and execution for Rare Beauty's color, complexion, and fragrance categories — driving go-to-market plans for new launches and core products from concept through shelf. This role demands a highly collaborative, detail-oriented marketer who can navigate complex cross-functional workflows with confidence, partnering closely with Creative, Product Development, Consumer Marketing, PR/Influencer, Partnerships, Retail Marketing, Sales, Education, and Visual Merchandising to drive cohesive, on-time execution. Reporting to the Brand and Product Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in beauty marketing, a sharp analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving – equally creative and strategic, with a talent for crafting compelling product stories that connect meaningfully with our community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Brand & Product Marketing Manager with cross-functional project management for new innovation product launches, coordinating go-to-market deliverables across product development, creative, consumer marketing, retail marketing, sales, education, and regulatory.
- Independently own and lead end-to-end project management for a range of product launches, including BOTF, seasonal, promotional and special initiative launches.
- Maintain and update the detailed marketing launch timeline, tracking critical path milestones and flagging risks to ensure timely and coordinated execution.
- Serve as a key point of contact and category resource, helping ensure internal teams (Creative, Consumer Marketing, Social, PR/Influencer, PD, Education, Retail Marketing, Sales, etc.) have the information and assets needed to activate effectively.
- Partner with the Education team to help align product marketing and training materials, ensuring they are accurate and on-brand.
- Support the development of product messaging, claims language, and marketing copy in collaboration with the Product Development, Creative & Copy, Regulatory & Claims Teams, and Manager.
- Assist in briefing cross-functional teams on product storytelling and asset needs, helping ensure all launch materials are on-brand, accurate, and delivered on time.
- Support 360° activation across retailer and digital touchpoints—gondolas, digital assets, and product detail page content—leveraging customer insights to enhance product storytelling and engagement.
- Conduct post-launch analysis and assist with competitive monitoring by tracking category trends, industry shifts, and competitor activity to help inform product positioning and marketing strategy.

REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years of experience in brand or product marketing within the beauty industry, with deep expertise in color and/or complexion categories.
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end product launches from concept through launch.
- Strong understanding of product storytelling claims development, and the creative process.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker who can zoom out on big-picture brand storytelling while staying close to executional details.
- Naturally curious and proactive, always seeking new insights, trends, and opportunities to innovate.
- Agile and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
