General Description:
This new role, Manager of Finance & Analytics will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning and analysis function at Madison Group. This role involves providing detailed financial insights, preparing forecasts and budgets, and assisting in strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and experience in the real estate development industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present management reporting to senior management on an ongoing basis.
- Lead the conversion of existing reporting packages into an online dashboard environment using Power BI.
- Manage the monthly bank loan draw process for active developments, including coordinating with and overseeing project monitors where applicable.
- Prepare and maintain project proformas for current and future developments, including:
- Assisting the land acquisition team with financial modeling and proformas for potential development sites.
- Assisting the sales team with proformas and financial analysis for upcoming sales releases.
- Preparing proformas and supporting materials for credit applications and lender financing.
- Preparing proformas and financial analyses for partners and potential investors.
- Prepare and maintain project cash flow forecasts on an ongoing basis
- Oversee CORRA renewals.
- Collaborate with various departments to continuously update project budgets and implement budget changes within the ERP system.
- Fulfill various finance-related ad hoc requests from other departments.
- Assist with credit applications and lender reporting requirements.
- Exposure to all facets of the company’s business, including low-rise and high-rise development, seniors housing, commercial properties, parking assets, and mortgage financing.
- Support corporate cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
- Participate and contribute to management meetings with ownership and other senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the real estate development industry
- CPA, CFA, or CAIA designation (or in progress) is an asset.
- Experience with SQL and Power BI ideal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Knowledge of NewStar and Yardi considered an asset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver on objectives.

Salary $120,000 to $130,000
