The Public Works Department is seeking to fill the position of Equipment Operator Ill - Backhoe. This role primarily involves the operation of a backhoe equipped with a front-end loader, hoe-pak, and other attachments to support trenching, loading, and related tasks. In addition to core operational duties, the successful candidate is responsible for the care, routine maintenance, and safe, efficient operation of the assigned equipment.
Our ideal candidate has completed Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with considerable experience operating a backhoe in close proximity to underground services as part of a construction or maintenance crew.
