TERM APPOINTMENTThe City of Greenwood is seeking a qualified and impartial Chief Election Officer to administer the 2026 local government election. This independent statutory role is responsible for ensuring that the election is conducted fairly, transparently, and in full compliance with the
Local Government Act,
Election Act, and Elections BC requirements.

Rate of Pay: A
fixed fee of $8,000 will be paid for services rendered as Chief Election Officer, covering all duties associated with the preparation, conduct, and completion of the election, including advance voting and post-election responsibilities.
(room for negotiation based on experience)Term & Hours of Work: This is a term appointment related to the administration of local general elections and any required by-elections, including all statutory preparation, voting, and post-election reporting periods.
Hours of work are
as required, with significant workload during nomination periods, advance voting, general voting day, and campaign finance disclosure periods. Evening and weekend work will be required. Mandatory availability during legislated deadlines and ability to work extended hours during vote counting and results certification.
Union: This is an appointed statutory position under the
Local Government Act and is excluded from the City’s collective agreements.
