JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Election Officer, this position assists with planning, coordinating, and delivering the Local Government Election. The Elections Assistant will provide administrative, logistical, and operational support essential to the successful conduct of the election.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A High school graduation, supplemented by business courses and/or related administrative training and experience.
- A Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle; will be required to provide a drivers abstract.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required to support voting day(s) duties.

The hourly pay rate for this temporary six (6) month, full-time 7 hour per day position is $33.28-35.99 (2026 rates).
Leading up to the election in the fall of 2026, the hours will generally be Monday to Friday, plus varying hours for Advance Voting Day, General Election Day and Special Voting Days which would include evenings and weekends.
