Project Manager / Estimator – Damage Restoration

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager / Estimator with a background in damage restoration and construction. This individual will play a key role in developing and managing projects across Ottawa and surrounding areas. As this is a newly created position, the successful candidate must be highly self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently while building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage restoration projects from initial assessment through to completion
Prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate software
Conduct site inspections for residential and commercial loss claims
Coordinate with insurance adjusters, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Monitor project progress, costs, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company procedures
Build and maintain relationships with clients, insurers, and industry partners
Identify opportunities to grow and develop the Ottawa territory
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in damage restoration
Strong construction background with both residential and commercial projects
Proficiency in Xactimate estimating software is required
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of insurance claims and restoration processes
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a new territory
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region
