The Automotive Repair Technician plays a crucial role in servicing passenger cars and light trucks/SUVs, performing diagnostics and repairs within a small, collaborative team. This position involves the use of generic multi-brand scanners and manual diagnostic methods to identify and fix mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring vehicle safety and performance without any travel requirements. Technicians have the opportunity to advance to lead technician or supervisory roles such as shop foreman or manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics using multi-brand scanners and manual methods
- Conduct mechanical repairs and parts replacement on passenger cars and light trucks/SUVs
- Maintain and repair electrical systems
- Carry out routine maintenance services
- Utilize a variety of automotive repair tools efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in automotive repair
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology or a related field
- Proficiency in engine repair, brake systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Experience with diagnostic tools
- Strong customer service and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
