This position is ideal for Social Service Workers (SSW) based in Kingston seeking full-time and part-time contract opportunities supporting mental health and addictions programs across Brockville and Smiths Falls. This role offers $24–27/hour (depending on experience and location), consistent hours, and the opportunity to work in structured, team-based environments.
About the Opportunity
You will be supporting a community-based mental health and addictions organization delivering 24/7 care across residential group homes, treatment programs, and supported living environments. Clients may present with complex mental health needs, addictions, and dual diagnoses, requiring consistent, hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with activities of daily living (hygiene, meals, routines)
- Assist with medication prompting and monitoring
- Build therapeutic relationships and support recovery goals
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Support crisis situations and de-escalation when required
- Complete documentation and communicate with care teams
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in DSW, SSW, CYW, Addictions & Mental Health, or related field
- Experience in mental health, addictions, or residential care preferred
- Valid CPR/First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Check (within 1 year)
- TB test (within 6 months)
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle preferred
Additional Details
- Full-time and part-time hours available (anticipated 4–6 weeks, potential extension)
- 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (days, evenings, nights)
- Compensation: $24–27/hour (depending on experience and location)
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.60/km
