Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $58,098 - $79,182 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director, Admin & Finance, the Manager, Admin & Finance directly supervises and mentors a dedicated team of three individuals within the areas of administration, payroll processing, accounts payable, procurement, invoicing, and IT.
- Lead a talented and dedicated team in the continuous, effective and efficient functioning of the Department and support their growth and development by setting clear goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
- Oversee the processing of key financial transactions within the department which includes ensuring accuracy and completeness of accounting records and transactions; researching and resolving various issues and discrepancies; performing reconciliations, audits, and adjustments as needed; and coordinating with external auditors, as required.
- Drive efficiency and process simplification in the financial operations of the organization by leveraging technology solutions to build capacity.
- Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems and processes to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards and policies.
- Coordinate the continuing development and efficient management of the departments computerized maintenance management system, this involves working closely with several university departments including Information Technology Services.
- Ensure the relevancy and accuracy of the information maintained on the Department's website.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
- 5 plus years' experience in progressively responsible positions, preferably within a complex, multi-stakeholder, unionized environment.
- 5 plus years of supervisory and leadership experience, demonstrating an ability to be open-minded, flexible and adaptable
- A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

- Aptitude for understanding new technologies and experience managing a computerized maintenance management system.
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to co-ordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to create and foster a team environment.
