The Social Worker is responsible, in collaboration with his supervisor, for ensuring and promoting the Fundamental Principle and Residents' Bill of Rights under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007. This person provides residents and their families with the necessary support upon their admission and during their stay at the Residence and also participate in the orientation and integration program. You will also be responsible for defining the social needs of all residents as well as evaluating and promoting the delivery of care and services centered on the individualized needs of residents and all other tasks assigned by the supervisor for the proper functioning of the department and in compliance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and related regulations.

- Must have a bachelor's degree in Social Work;
- Having a master's degree in Social Work is an asset;
- Minimum of one year of experience in a health care environment;
- Must have a valid general enrollment certificate issued by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers;
- Ability to communicate easily in French and English (orally and in writing);
- Good knowledge of the principles and practices applicable in the social work field and the resources available in the community in order to provide information and references;
- Good knowledge of geriatrics and palliative care would be an asset;
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and Mede- care (RAI-MDS) software;
- Good knowledge of the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 and related regulations.
