We’re actively seeking a temporary Food Manager to become part of our dynamic team at our Deer Park Food Store located in Red Deer.
Position: Food Manager
Term: Temporary position until approximately July 16, 2027 (maternity leave coverage)
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings
As the Food Manager, you are reporting to the Division Manager and will be responsible for the organization, direction, and coordination of the Deer Park Food Store to achieve budgeted goals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, administer and be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH of all the food stores,
- Ensure food managers adhere to established standards, including safe food handling & sanitation, merchandising, signage, staff appearance housekeeping, health and safety and loss prevention,
- Assist and lead in marketing efforts, set advertising standards and create innovative marketing plans,
- Asses the food division performance, solving customers issues and allocating resources,
- Ensure proper appearance of all facilities, equipment, and image checklist,
- Assist and lead in the preparation of annual business plans and budget and ensure all paperwork is done timely, accurately and meets policies and procedures,
- Keep familiar and up to date with current and new products on the market,
- Other duties as required by the Division Manager.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 year of management experience,
- Business related education would be an asset,
- Coaching and training skills,
- Great attention to detail,
- Excellent leadership skills,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
