Responsibilities
- Liaise with OSS Manager to ensure seamless communication and understanding between office & field activities
- Continuous monitoring of traffic control schedule to stay informed of daily activities and events
- Perform regular site/setup inspections for OSS activities
- Ensure any work zone deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner
- Ensure crew has appropriate training and training certificates are on-site during field work
- Ensure crews are working in compliance with OSS safety program
- Ensure crews are properly conducting and documenting hazard assessments for each temporary traffic control assignment
- Monitor inventory delivered, in the field and returned to ensure equipment is not forgotten or lost
- Follow up with crews to ensure delivery & return documents and time sheets are completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Perform regular truck inspections, ensuring trucks have all necessary equipment, are clean inside and out, and are in good working order
- Ensure truck inspection logs are completed daily and handed in on time
- Oversee one truck inspection per Tech quarterly and document
- Delegate assignments to field staff as appropriate
- Supervise field staff to ensure efficient completion of tasks as assigned, such as Yard/Shop/Equipment maintenance
- Completion of appropriate seminars/course work to keep abreast of changes in industry
- Attend setups with Techs to ensure clear understanding of OSS requirements and rural/urban specifications
- Ensure daily journals and all paperwork is updated daily and handed in when required
Qualifications
- MUST have practical experience in OTM Book 7 closures
- MUST have a valid G License
- MUST have a clean driver’s abstract
- MUST be physically fit and occasionally able to lift up to 75 lbs
- MUST be reliable, punctual, a team player and able to work with little supervision.
Skills
- Ability to drive a one ton flat-deck truck, G endorsement an asset
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions

- - Good knowledge of Regina streets and Saskatchewan road network

Experience
- Direct temporary traffic control supervisory experience is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years direct traffic control experience
