Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the client centred service mode of care and principles of adult learning. The Provincial Education Coordinator will provide visible, proactive leadership and education and promote the delivery of client centred care through identified educational programming and is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, and implementing, coordinating, instructing / facilitating and evaluating education activities/programs. The Provincial Education Coordinator partners with the Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator, Field Trainers, Instructors and First Responder Coordinators to create and deliver educational programs throughout SHA EMS. The education requirements are aligned with the SHA’s Vision, Mission, and Values and the Provincial Education Coordinator is committed to being a leader in the provision of educational programming. The Provincial Education Coordinator is expected to assist and participate in the development of the vision and strategic plan for the program in alignment within the SHA values and strategic direction.

Licenses
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certificate (ACLS)
Education
- Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Experience
- Minimum 2 years of ACP experience which includes program/resource development
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal/consultative relationships
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Ability to facilitate in person and online training sessions
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Standards and application of such
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing workload
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, scheduling & training platforms
- Thorough knowledge and application of SHA Values, Protocols and Work Standards
- Demonstrate accountability, promptness, dependability, professionalism
- Thorough knowledge of the EMS provincial protocols
- Knowledge, application and operation of equipment related to the practice of EMS
- Ability to apply research to clinical practice

- Ability to develop business Case, SBAR, and Work Standards

- Instructor level in the following are an asset: ACLS EP, ITLS & PALS
- Advanced Airway Instructor levels (i.e. DAC or AIMES) is an asset
