Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping
- Implement a Reggio Emilia approach to learning
- Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioral well-being while fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Conduct attendance and health & safety checks
- Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists
- Assist children through classroom transitions
- Participate in team meetings and professional development workshops
Specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use computer systems for documentation and classroom operations
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated initiative both inside and outside the classroom
Qualifications
- Valid British Columbia ECE License
- Criminal Record Check
- Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 lbs
