Schedule: 70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (Nine-Day Fortnight)

This position works in the Licence – Administration organizational unit. This is varied and moderately difficult clerical work in the performance of a variety of diversified but recurrent clerical duties. The Clerk 3 prepares, processes, and circulates materials; composes correspondence; maintains variety records, files, codes, and indices necessary to the preparation of diversified narrative and statistical reports of some complexity. The incumbent makes some independent decisions based on a knowledge of departmental rules and regulations, is required to explain relevant bylaws and regulations; review a variety of forms for accuracy and completeness; uses application software to import and format documents; propriety of charges and conformance with departmental regulations. Other duties include processing payments and daily balancing. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications include completion of Grade 12 preferably including or supplemented by courses in commercial subjects and bookkeeping and considerable related experience as a Clerk 2; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of the rules and regulations and operational needs which govern activities in the department concerned; of modern business office practices and procedures including the use of various application software packages (MS Office, Tempest, Energov and GIS). Ability to maintain complex records and to prepare periodic statistical and narrative reports; to meet and deal tactfully and effectively with the public and to maintain harmonious working relationships with office staff. Skill in operating common office appliances.
