Tasks
Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments Engage in community program developmentMonitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' conditionParticipate in community needs assessmentAddress and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditionsAssess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventionsCollaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their familiesConduct disease screeningDeliver health education programsDeliver immunization programsDispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physicianEngage in research activities related to nursingManage home care casesOperate or monitor medical apparatus or equipmentProvide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practiceProvide nursing careProvide supportive counselling and life skills programmingSupervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staffPerform administrative tasks
