Position Overview
Are you a strategic relationship builder with a strong background in governance, finance, and partnership development? The City of Kamloops is seeking a permanent, full-time Strategic Partnerships Liaison to help strengthen and advance the relationships that support a vibrant economy and high quality of life for our community. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with government partners, industry organizations, boards, and community agencies to drive collaboration, support complex governance and financial initiatives, and help deliver key strategic projects. Success in this role requires exceptional communication skills, political acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex issues with professionalism and diplomacy. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of asset management experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial administration, intergovernmental relations, board governance, committees, or non-profit governance structures.
- Exemplary work ethic with ability to work independently and think critically in solving problems.
The annual salary for this position is with a pay grade system starting at $111,822.75. The City offers a comprehensive benefit package including generous vacation and an Earned Days Off program. Along with these benefits, the City provides access to fitness facilities, various instructed programs, and community volunteer/engagement opportunities. This is an exempt Management position.
